His photos tell tales of a brilliant red headed queen, desolate landscapes, glowing houses, and abandoned sailboats. Similar to Tim Walker's notoriously whimsical photos, Mike Bailey Gates is a 17-year-old fashion photographer living in Rhode Island. Already getting an incredible amount of press (including a mention on Urban Outfitter's blog), Gates is inevitably destined to create a fairy tale story that is entirely his own. Using vast amounts of light and New England's enchanting scenery, his photographs capture not only the delicate innocence of youth but also the dark, haunting side of adolescence that is all to often lost in Friday night football games and school dances.
